Lighting Department Gaffer | Mj Canyon Productions - CHURCH! | In June of 2023, I took the Lead Role in the Lighting Department, acting as the on-set Gaffer. It was a great experience, and I got the opportunity to collaborate and network with great creative minds as well as lead a great team!
Working with a great group of Creatives in only 48 hours is a Fantastic Challenge and Opportunity! The Independent Film Project in Phoenix hosts a yearly 48 Hour Film challenge. A team and I conceptualized, wrote, filmed, and edited to completion in 48 hours total, along with the added prompts of including an object (a fork), a line of dialogue (“ there’s always Plan B.”), and an action (Rock, Paper, Scissors). I was a Lighting Grip, the on-set Editor, and the Lead Editor for the short film. The film went on to be premiered at the Harkins 101 Theater in Scottsdale, AZ. As well as taking home four awards, Best Editing, Cinematography, Directing, and 2nd Place Overall!
These training videos were my time to really branch out and try out some great stuff. This project I took lead on on while working at Freedom Church during the summer of 2021. I directed this fully taking care of the roles for this project as Editor, Sound Engineer/Designer, Set Designer, Roaming Videographer, Director of Photography. This was a blast to shoot and edit!
This was my first major school project. I made this Music Video my junior year of High School and this is still one of my favorites. I Directed, was the Lead videographer, and was the Lead Editor on this project.
In October of 2023, I got the opportunity to be a Production Assistant in the Art Department for the 3rd Season of Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. I took the role of Production Assistant for Season 3 Ep. 2/3/4/8/9 of Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.
This was my first project at College. In my Digital Film and Media class we were assigned to make a short with no dialogue. On this project I Wrote, Filmed, Edited, and Directed all myself with the help of a few friends for setting up and breaking down everything.
A friend of mine approached me with this Video Essay project. He wrote a script for this video essay and came to me for help recording and editing this. I had him come in and record it and then I edited it in one sitting.
This project I took on while working at Freedom Church during the summer of 2020. The roles I took on for this project was Lead Editor and Roaming Videographer.
One of my first montage videos made back in 2017. I recorded it all with my DJI Osmo. Recorded and edited it in a few days, having the final product done at the end of my vacation.
This is another project I made my Junior year of High School. I was assigned in my english class to make a satire commercial. I decided to try and go above and beyond. On this project I wrote, filmed, and edited all myself over one weekend.
